Ever wonder what to do with the left over tomato paste after you take the
two tablespoons out of the can and half the can is still there?
Here is a quick Tip. On a small cookie sheet or on in a small cake pan, place
wax
paper and spray it with pan release. Measure out tablespoons of the tomato
paste and place the dollops on the sprayed paper lined pan. Place the pan
into the freezer and let the tomato paste freeze over night. Remove the
dollops individually and drop them into a plastic freezer bag and return to
the freezer. When a recipe calls for one or two tablespoons of tomato
paste, remove the number from the freezer bag and return the bag to the
freezer; the others will keep just fine. No more throwing out week or two
week old tomato paste from the frig that has begun to grow! No waste of the
paste.
Happy Cook'in!!!
